Lightsounds has been looking after clients in this amazing industry in Brisbane for over 10 years now. Originally through our two smaller stores in Coorparoo and Lutwyche, later joining forces as Lightsounds Brisbane in one Mega store in Fortitude Valley in 2007.

Usually taking care of your special events, the Projects Department provides Delivery and Pickup of Hire equipment for a wide range of applications to take the worry out of setting up and packing up after the event. Equipment operators also available at competitive prices.

XS Clearance Centre:
Specialises in the sale of used, second hand, damaged, discontinued, ex demonstration, ex hire and all sorts of other gear that simply cannot be sold as brand new at drastically reduced prices.

TRADE INS:
If you are looking to upgrade your gear and maybe don’t quite have enough cash, then a trade-in may be your answer. Lightsounds Brisbane is an authorized Second Hand Goods Dealer and as such are able to trade-in almost anything for the gear you’ve always wanted.

Experience:
Over 20 years of retail and management experience and several years in the professional lighting and audio industry.
Areas of Expertise:
David has a broad knowledge of all Lightsounds products with the goal to ensure we are always competitive on the latest gear and that everyone that comes into Lightsounds sees, buys or hires fun! David can assist with all general sales and hire enquiries as well as productions or installations.

Position: Sales
Courses: Electronic Music Production at SAE Brisbane
Experience: DJing with the latest in Hi-nrg, Eurodance, House, Electro and PROG.
Areas of Expertise: Leith has extensive knowledge of music programs, midi-controllers, audio interfaces (both USB and fire-wire), monitor speakers and acoustic foaming from brands including Logic Studio, Arturia, Native Instruments, KRK and Behringer - just to name a few. Through building his purpose-built home studio has become Lightsounds Brisbane’s “studio geek”. So whether it’s help with trouble shooting, looking to set up your own studio or upgrading your current set-up, Leith can certainly help you out.

AKA / DJ Name: DJ Harvey
Position: Sales and DJ School Principle
Areas of Expertise:
Tony runs the Lightsounds DJ Academy in Queensland. He also has vast knowledge on which DJ equipment you should purchase to kick-start your career. So if you would like to learn the skills to be a DJ make sure you drop into Lightsounds Brisbane and have a chat to Tony.  
Achievements: With over 20 years behind "The Wheels of Steel" Tony (aka DJ Harvey) has been at the forefront of the National and International dance music scene. With a list a mile long of some of the biggest acts in the country who he has played alongside while keeping several residencies at some of the most recognised dance clubs in Queensland, Tony has constantly set the standard and gained the respect of the clubbing crowd who notoriously return week in and week out to experience his electrifying and uplifting sets.

Areas of Expertise: With years of experience at Lightsounds Luke is happy to offer advice in a range of areas from lighting to audio/visual and DJ equipment. Your A-typical bedroom DJ, Luke has a special interest in all the newest digital DJing gadgets and MIDI controllers and is always happy to answer any questions you may have about anything especially if you’re looking at moving your set into the digital realm.

AKA: Zanda
Position: Sales
Areas of Expertise: Been DJing for 10 years. Specialises in everything turntables and mixers. Since last year Zanda made the change to controller type DJing, mostly for portability and is really enjoying the new generation of Dj methods and equipment. He has been an apple user for 20 years and can provide an answer to almost and apple related issue. The new line-up of led lighting has sparked an unusual interest in lighting setups and placement and has got him researching the technology, which goes into disco lighting and effects.
