Last month MixVibes presented its new VFX CONTROL VIDEO-DJ solution at the MixVibes ten years’ event and the product is now available to all Lightsounds customers. 

The event was supported by worldwide acclaimed DJ Zebra, who after the performance said “VFX CONTROL is a blast! I’ve only a few days into using VFX CONTROL, and am already able to bring all the visual inspirations I have collected over the past few years into my [Video DJ] set!” 

VFX CONTROL enables you to mix, scratch, cross fade and synchronize your multimedia files through the intuitive interface of a classic DJ booth: 2 channels and a central mixer. The package is an all-in-one turnkey solution including VFX software and an Audio/MIDI controller unit. 

The supplied MIDI controller is designed to offer a mouse free performance. It is light and mobile and easily fits in installations such as bars, clubs or restaurants with a nineteen inch rack design.

American Audio Radius 3000

American Audio has launched the Radius 3000 CD player which is available at all Lightsounds outlets across Australia as of this month.

Whether you DJ with CDs or a computer, the American Audio, Radius 3000 will help you achieve the next level!

The product comes with American Audio’s Database Management Software which allows you to search your USB/SD Input by song, artist and alphabetical order. 

The Radius 3000 is a professional CD/MP3/WAV player with Midi capabilities so DJs can control their favourite music playback software.

It features a large 6-inch (150mm) jog wheel, 9 on-board DSP effects, and a large bright display that shows track titles and artist ID tags.

The Radius 3000 has a white LED visual marker display that rotates around the jog wheel to show the reference point of where the CD/MP3/WAV disc is playing.

The buttons and knobs on the deck are intuitively placed making it easy and convenient to navigate through the features.

Two New Stores.

Lightsounds Gold Coast and Lightsounds Melbourne are open for business!

Today’s opening of the Gold Coast store marks the second store to open in the period of little over a month, with Melbourne opening early October.

The Gold Coast store is located in Ashmore on the Gold Coast, while in Melbourne, the store is in the suburb of Lilydale.

The two stores are the latest franchises to add to the growing list of Lightsounds stores and outlets across Australia, and are set to provide everything that Lightsounds has to offer.

Death of Technics

We can officially confirm that the rumours are true. The Technics Analogue Turntables are now an extinct species. Whilst many speculated about this happening, reality hit when we received a break-up style letter from Paul Reid, director, himself.

It read:

“Thank you for your support of Technics Analogue Turntables over the past years. Due to the decline in global demand over the past decade, we wish to advise you that Panasonic has ceased production of Technics Analogue Turntables.

As a result we wish to advise you that Panasonic Australia will no longer be in a position to supply product to you effective immediately.”

To bring the point home the letter also confirmed that no backorders will be supplied. 

So this is goodbye. Thank you. We will always remember the good times!
