After the success of the first introductory seminar held at the Lightsounds Academy in Sydney last weekend more courses are now available, giving you the advantage you need to stay at the top of your game!
On Saturday 20th of OctoberDigital DJing basics and Music Production training sessions are being held. Both of these courses are an excellent primer for anyone who has an interest in learning the fundamental elements to DJ’ing or making electronic music.
The following Saturday 27th of October we have 2 further courses which cover DMX Lighting control via lighting consoles followed by a second course on using software to control lighting shows. This enables you to create several elaborate lighting displays which can be prepared, edited on the fly or recalled at the press of a button.

Nik Fish, one of Australia’s top 5 Nightclub DJ’s for the last decade will be giving you insight into the Nightclub DJ career path and skills required to succeed in his course ‘The Art and Craft of a Nightclub DJ’.

Lightsounds Canterburylaunch their brand new store with a stellar DJ line up including Nik Fish, DJ Ravine, Kobuki and DJ Playmate. Stunt motorbike riders provided plenty of excitement, the BBQ was going full blazes, prizes and free DJ, audio gear and lasers were handed out left right and centre with the Red Bull girls keeping spirits high with free energy drinks. All this and a $250,000 stock clearance to boot. Lightsounds is on the map!
WithDJ Hertz already clocking 90 hours into the official record attempt on the world’s longest DJ set, things are looking positive for the aspiring Brisbane DJ. The attempt is taking place at Birdees, Brisbane in the name of charity, with all proceeds going to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation. Smokin Joe Mekhael has already stated that his world record attempt was actually 18 hours short of the current record held by the Californian based DJ DC. No problems for Hertz however who has done his research and knows that he has to play for over 150 hours to officially claim the title. When Lightsounds spoke to Hertz at the 90 hour mark he sounded very confident, with a steady stream of well wishers and supporters behind him. And Smokin Joe has now thrown his support behind Hertz as well offering advice on how to combat the incredible fatigue. Lightsounds has kindly provided the DJ rig that Hertz is using including a Pioneer DJM2000 with 2 x CDJ2000s. Brisbane holds their Monster Garage Sale this Saturday so get on down to snap up a monster bargain and pop in and see Hertz smash the record up the road at Birdies.
