MixVibes releases new version of Cross with 4 decks, HID controlled

MixVibes has developed DJ apps for Mac, PC, iPad and iPhone for over 10 years.

Now, MixVibes releases Cross 2.4, a new version of its flagship software for Mac/PC. This version has 4 decks and a new sync mode.

4 full decks and a redesigned sampler

Cross now features 4 full decks. They can be controlled by Pioneer CDJs and MIDI controllers. Mappings for popular 4 deck controllers are included.
Decks C & D can be switched between players or samplers. The samplers layout has been redesigned for enhanced readability. Each pad has its own waveform, making it easy to know what sample is playing.

Sync Link mode, based on industry standard workflow

MixVibes’ philosophy is to create products with genuine DJ spirit. For this reason, Cross 2.4 designers got inspired by the CDJ 2000 Nexus workflow.
Sync Link works in a very simple way : each deck in sync follows the master. Master status is attributed automatically. Besides, the phase of each deck can be controlled manually with the pitchbend.

Classic trigger mode is still available in the preferences panel (so you really get the best of both worlds.)

Beyond Sound and Lighting have partnered with the Lightsounds brand to provide an increased presence for entertainment lighting and sound in Newcastle. Owner operator Josh Maynard has always maintained an avid interest in pro audio and lighting way back from his school days, finally turning his passion into a full time business in 2009. Josh’s partner Sarah runs the administration side of the business, and while a recent baby arrival has been a delightful diversion, they are excited to be entering another new challenge. “Lightsounds has been a hallmark brand for nearly 20 years and we are thrilled to represent it exclusively in the Newcastle precinct. It’s great to be part of a group that has national strength, an established product range and brand associations, buying power and marketing synergies” Josh said. Another Happy Customer…

I would like to thank Karl from the Hire Department at Lightsounds, for the efficient service and good advice on which equipment to hire for my daughter, Emily’s, 19th birthday party, which was held at home ,including in the backyard. I hired 2 Wharfedale powered speakers which we were able to play music directly from an ipod. Also we hired 2 led parcans which were set to change colours with the music,and a water effect light, as well as using a minilaser, which gave a fast moving pattern of light dots on the side of the house. (We were careful to mount the minilaser so that it wouldn’t shine directly into any anybody’s eyes).

The lighting effect in the backyard, was spectacular, and it set the mood for an excellent birthday party.

Thank you to everyone at Lightsounds for helping make my daughter’s party so successful.

Lightsounds Gold Coast is under new ownership and requires a full time employee to make the store the best the Gold Coast has ever seen. If you have excellent knowledge of professional entertainment LIGHTING and SOUND then this is the job for you. We need a highly motivated, hard working team member with excellent customer communication and people skills to make this store happen. It’s not just Sales, HIRES, PRODUCTION and INSTALLATIONS are very important too. The Ashmore store is now well stocked, with more equipment arriving daily, so we need a long term team member to grow the business. The store is open 6 days a week. Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and on Saturday 10am to 3 pm. You will need to work most Saturdays but will receive a day off during the week for a total of 5 days per week. Not all work would be at the shop, delivery and set up of hire gear is just part of this fantastic position, so a manual drivers license is a big plus.
