We are always excited to work on thought provoking and innovative uses of sound and lighting in unique spaces. Lightsounds has worked with Belle Flaneur founder Natalie Coulter on the window installation titled Dream Works for Kenya which was displayed at Robby Ingham in Paddington, July 2012. The work is one that utilises used and discarded materials to invoke an otherworldly “retro-futuristic” wasteland.
The installation itself promotes sustainability in window display & retail design. All materials used for the display were recycled and reused with the support and resources from the team at Reverse Garbage
Julian Lacey from Lightsounds Projects assisted Natalie as the Production Co-ordinator. Over 20 people collaborated on sourcing and building this installation many donating their time.
Key Equipment Used:
ANTARI – Z10002 smoke machine programmed via Sunlite professional Lighting software to emit a short burst of smoke every 5 minutes.
What they had to say:
“At Belle Flaneur we are a community of artists who teach & learn together.
I have such a great time working with the team at Lightsounds Darlinghurst, they are super supportive and help me produce the imaginings in my head into light & in this case steam! Brett, Nick, Jules & Jon are brilliant!”
