Sure thing, Lightsounds have often thought of holding a fire sale, but this might have been taking it a bit too literally. Truth be told, while Lightsounds’ Sydney City store was offering our usual scorching prices, it was actually a nearby stockist of what we’ll politely describe as ‘marital aids’ that had the alarm bells vibrating – er, ringing. The crowds had gathered outside the Lightsounds outlet just off Darlinghurst’s Oxford St shopping strip – including a surprising number of guys dressed as firemen – but couldn’t take advantage of the smoking hot offers and flaming good range Lightsounds had on their hot little hands, as staff and customers were locked out, and left watching the not-quite-so-towering inferno being brought under control. Beside a bit of singe around the awning, it’s back to business as usual for Sydney City Lightsounds, but the deals are still smouldering.
